Education for day laborers’ children
The children of day laborers in India do not have access to a regular education. They are obligated to move where their parents can find day work and they come to lead a nomadic life.
Intervida provides informal education to day laborers' children in classrooms constructed next to or within their parents’ work sites, in order to encourage the education of these children. They are also provided with the basic materials necessary for this education.
In addition, their parents receive the training needed to be more involved in their children’s educational process, as well as in their development and health.
This program is currently being developed in Pune, India.
