Country profile

Problems
The lack of basic nutrients leads to a state of malnutrition which is seriously detrimental to children’s physical and intellectual development and which increases their susceptibility to various illnesses.
The lack of access to water, progressive soil erosion and a poorly developed crop culture (limited mainly to cutting and burning), provoke the loss of biodiversity in the country.
