Food Security

Food Security means ensuring that all people have the physical, economic and social access food, in terms of both quality and quantity, thereby guaranteeing them an overall state of well-being which can contribute to their development.

Intervida’s Health, Economic Development and Environmental divisions work together to address this need and work towards improving nutrition and increasing the availability of food.

Environment

We aim to improve the management of natural resources as a strategy for sustainable human development in the most vulnerable areas. Economic and social factors should be in balance with environmental ones, as human development and well-being depends on an environment which can continue to give life and wealth.

Culture

Culture is a factor which guarantees development and acts as a tool in the transformation of a more just and egalitarian society where relationships can be established within a framework of respect for human rights.

The aim of this sector is to facilitate the human, material and knowledge resources needed for especially vulnerable communities to overcome their situations, while ensuring that this is done with respect for local values and customs.

The Cultural Centers, centers created for the exchange of expression, promote the integration of children, adolescents and youth, as well as their community participation.

Infrastructure

The construction of basic infrastructures can resolve fundamental needs in the communities. For this, active social participation is needed, as is proper management and maintenance, to guarantee the sustainability of the projects.

Infrastructure is a transverse division which works with Education, Health and Production, in addition to other activities in its sector and emergency efforts.
The aim is to provide all basic services in the most disadvantaged areas, which tend to be rural areas and the poorest areas within larger settlements.
