Access to education for a nomadic life
In India, Intervida runs schools for the children of construction workers. The nomadic lives of their parents, who move from work site to work site depending on the availability of work, leaves them outside of the educational system.
In 2007, a total of 3,245 children attended 35 schools in the “Program for the children of construction workers” which Intervida carries out in Pune (India). In these centers, the children also receive a balanced diet which helps them to satisfy their basic nutritional needs.
