· The organization supports 34 community health services to strengthen sanitary attention and improve mother-child health.
· In the “Basic Health Centers” services are being provided to more than 1,100 women (expecting and mothers) and children under 2 years old.
· In the municipality of Jinotega there is a “Maternity House” which houses women who have at-risk pregnancies; this year a “Mother’s Club” will also be added.

· According to UN data, each year 24,000 million tons of fertile land disappears, which implies a significant loss of natural resources for a large number of communities which depend on these resources for their survival.
· Among the main causes of the deterioration of land in arid areas are deforestation and the deterioration of the tree and bush formations, as well as the overexploitation of forests and mountain clearings.
· INTERVIDA Mali, in collaboration with the Nubian Vault Association (L’Association la Voûte Nubienne), uses a new architectural technique which replaces wood as the material used in the construction of housing structures and roofs.

· With the slogan “Do it yourself, don’t let a child do it”, a brand is created which seeks to raise awareness of responsible consumption, inviting people to buy products that were not manufactured by children.
· Under the “Do it Yourself. Give them a Voice 2.0” campaign, INTERVIDA has released a book, a documentary and a Website which show the organization’s commitment to fighting child labor.
· In the year 2006, INTERVIDA launched Give them a Voice, an initiative which arose to fight all types of child exploitation. In its first years, this was oriented against the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) and today it unites whose who fight to eradicate child labor.

· From Spain, Intervida also participates with a presentation on child labor in the forum “Best practices in the eradication of child labor through education”, organized in San Salvador.
· The discourse was led by Alfonso Hernández, author of the books “Invisible Lives” and “Exploited Lives”, which are dedicated to the commercial sexual exploitation of children and child labor published by INTERVIDA.
· INTERVIDA carries out various projects to combat child labor in countries such as Bangladesh, India and El Salvador.
