Intervida opens a new channel for communicating with web users through a private chat
Barcelona (11/04/2008). With the aim of opening new ways of interacting with its collaborators and the public, in general, INTERVIDA has implemented a new communication channel on its Website through which visitors can establish a private chat in real-time with one of the organization’s agents, who will respond to their questions immediately.
This new way of relating to visitors to the Website is aimed at being an agile tool for personal communication between the organization and a public which prefers to use the computer to clarify their doubts about sponsorship. Visitors can access the chat by clicking on bubbles which appear in the Sponsor (www.intervida.org/apadrina.aspx) and Frequently Asked Questions (www.intervida.org/apadrina/preguntas-frecuentes.aspx) sections.
The Google Talk Chatback application enables the Web user to easily hold a instant messenger chat; the user simply clicks on the “Chat with Intervida” link when the status is available and a new window will open automatically to establish the real-time chat with the organization. This service is available during office hours, Monday to Friday from 10am to 9pm.
This new communication tool is an addition to others available on the newly launched INTERVIDA We, and open space which aims to encourage sponsors and the public, in general, to express themselves and interact with the organization. To do this, the virtual space allows Web visitors to publish their own comments in various parts of the Web; the sponsors can share stories about their trips to visit the projects and upload photos and videos with comments; and all this is made possible through some of the most popular Web applications for uploading maps, images and videos, as well as other applications, such as the new instant messaging service.
